Engine? Not officially stated — search chatter says Unreal, Refugium says nothing. Unverified. Mods? No mod support has been mentioned anywhere. Voice acting? English full audio; eleven more languages in text only. Cast uncredited so far. Wishlist numbers? Around 175,000 on Steam as of mid-July 2026, per press reports. Preorder? There never was one — the page went from wishlist straight to purchase at unlock. Where to follow officially? refugiumgames.net and the studio’s X/Instagram accounts — everything else, including this site, is fan-made.

Is Agefield High worth it? Depends entirely on your expectations. Steam is Mostly Negative — around 35% positive and climbing since the first patch. The complaints are about technical polish, not the premise. Full breakdown.
How much is it? $26.99 — $29.99 list with the 10% launch discount, which ends around August 19. Price.
Is it a Bully successor? It’s the closest thing in years, and Bully fans are having the hardest time with it — not over genre, but over polish. Read the comparison first.
Is there a demo? No. There’s no way to test it on your hardware before paying, which makes the refund window functionally the demo. Launch it the day you buy.
Will it run on my PC? Minimum is a GTX 1070 with 16 GB RAM and an SSD — and the SSD is a listed requirement, not a suggestion. Note that meeting specs hasn’t guaranteed smooth performance. System requirements.
The game

Can you play music? Yes. The August 13 patch made “the music minigames easier to pass” — confirming they’re played rather than narrated. Don’t expect Guitar Hero depth. Band.

Is there combat? Not confirmed as a feature. Don’t buy expecting to brawl — that’s one of the main Bully-comparison gaps.
What are the school subjects? Five class types, including music and German. The German one is a period joke.
Technical
Why does it crash? Crashing on load and mid-session are among the top complaints, with no single confirmed cause — it reads as machine-dependent. Crashes and performance has the checklist worth trying.
Can I change controller sensitivity? No, and it’s a documented complaint. Steam Input can adjust it from outside the game as a workaround. Controller.
Is it on Steam Deck? Not rated by Valve as of August 18, and the desktop performance reports make it a wait. Steam Deck.
What languages? 12 for interface and subtitles; English only for voice.
